…….. to give thanks! That is God’s Word creating a pathway in and out of everyday life. Sarah Young writes, “thankfulness takes the sting out of adversity.” Isn’t it interesting the Lord didn’t lift that discipline out of our lives because the days are difficult? No…His goodness shows up even brighter on dark days! Ms. Young continues, “You give Me thanks, (regardless of your feelings) and I give you joy, (regardless of your circumstance).” Her insight into a “sometime confusing directive” from the Lord is worth application. Likewise, have you ever noticed how much easier it is to weep with someone than rejoice?
We wish you a very thankful holiday wherever you gather with loved ones! Pastor Cathy and I are especially thankful for you! Even when apart, we carry your smiles, tears, and prayers with us. We are blessed and never look far to remember your kindness to us. Remaining thankful regardless of your feelings is worthy of a hallelujah! You’ll be strenthened by it. Have a Blessed Thanksgiving!
