On Saturday, April 12th, our Praise Fellowship kids – or Praise Kids as we call them – enjoyed a wonderful pancake breakfast, followed by a very energetic egg hunt. Over 350 plastic eggs were filled with candy and small toys, then hidden on the church grounds. Our skillful kids were successful in their hunt and found them all.
They were so successful, in fact, that there were no eggs left to be found when some new children came to the hunt. (The hunt had started a bit earlier than advertized because of the threat of rain.)
Our Praise Kids have hearts for Jesus. Our Praise Kids have learned their lessons well. When they noticed the new arrivals, and realized they had found all the eggs already, our Praise Kids started to re-fill the plastic eggs again with the candy from their own baskets! This was initiated by the kids with no prompting from any of the adults! Once filled, the Praise Kids hid the eggs for the new arrivals to find.
Then more new children arrived and the Praise Kids repeated the “re-fill and hide” process once again with their own candy. A while later, a few more children arrived and the Praise Kids repeated the sharing process for yet a third time! Praise God!
The love and sharing demonstrated by these young children caused parents and Pastors to choke up a bit. What a blessing our children are!
